What Are Your Days and Hours?
We offer child care between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
First Years Academy is CLOSED for Major Holidays, Including:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and we close early on New Year’s Eve. We will update our list of major holidays we observe periodically.
*First Years Academy remains open in inclement weather and does not follow school closings. Please use your best judgment when you are transporting your children in inclement weather.
What are the Staff / Child Ratios at First Years Academy?
- Infants, the ratio is 1 to 4
- Toddlers, the ratio is 1 to 7.
- Preschoolers, the ratio is 1 to 10.
- Kindergarten, the ratio is 1 to 15.
- School-Age care, the ratio is 1 to 15.
What Does the Lunch Program Consist of?
Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are included in the tuition rates. We do not have additional costs, it is completely included. We use a four week rotating menu to give the children both nutrition and variety. Our lunches are healthy and balanced, but also tasty to satisfy the children.
Why Should We Choose First Years Academy?
This is one of our most frequently asked questions. Our staff is what makes our facility stand out among the rest. Undeniably, their dedication and ability to work with children is what makes all the difference.
Can My Family Stop in at Any Time to Visit?
Of course! Your family can visit your children at any time throughout the day.
Do You Close for School Closings or In-Service Training?
No. We are open all year long, with the exception of major holidays. Weather-related closings or early starts or dismissals at the local schools do not impact our hours.
Do You Offer Drop-In Care?
No. We provide an all-inclusive program, and regular attendance is crucial. Additionally, it would be a distraction to the students currently enrolled in our programs. You must be enrolled to attend First Years Academy. Overall, this is also one our most frequently asked questions.
Can I Enroll My Child Part-Time?
Yes, but only under certain circumstances. If we have space in our classroom, we may offer part-time spots at our discretion. The schedule must be consistent while they’re enrolled. Additionally, we require a two day per week minimum to be classified as “part-time”.
